The Look

As I peer deep beneath his cold blue eyes,
I feel sorrowed, burdened with a cross whose weight I cannot holster.
I see something, like years of torment and distrust,
like a lie that lingers deep within.
My gaze is captured in something, something my mind cannot percieve.
Lost I've become, in an eternity.
I find myself running, not physically but in mind.
From such pain, I cannot bear.
